We added the AudioTron, a home network appliance, to the sunroom sound system. The sunroom sound system plays music in the sunroom, dining room and kitchen. The connections are for the audio as well as a connection to our home network. With the Turtle Beach AudioTron we can listen to our mp3 music library, stored on the home office computer, or play Internet radio. AudioTron is a 'smart stereo component' that takes full advantage of the power of home networking. With the included AudioStation software, we can rip songs from CD into WMA, MP3 and uncompressed WAV formats, tag songs for proper display on AudioTron, create custom playlists to play on AudioTron, burn custom CDs from our digital music library files and more. From the TurtleRadio web site we can configure a custom list of Internet Radio stations for use with the AudioTron. From there we can select from hundreds of Internet Radio stations or select our own stations to create custom radio lists that are downloaded by AudioTron for easy access.

We added the first robotic device to the household. The RL500 robotic lawnmower (Robomower) takes away a very monotonous chore. It works by placing a thin wire perimeter around all the lawn areas you want to cut. The grass grows over the wire fairly quickly so only the Robomower will know it's there. Areas with plantings can be surrounded in a perimeter island to inform the RL500 where not to cut. Any objects 6" or higher will be avoided using Robomower's bumper sensors. Take a closer look through the highlight below.
