This security system is designed to alert you whether you are in the house or out, to the possibility of an intruder's presence and, at the same time, to discourage an intruder from entering. If properly installed, once the system has been triggered, it will sound a siren alarm. (sensors programmed to doors feature a 30 second entry/exit delay, intended to allow family members enough time to go out protected doors after turning the system on, or disarm the system after coming in.) While the system is armed, the control panel will beep whenever a protected door is opened. This beep is intended to remind you to disarm the system as well as serve as a warning to any intruder.

In the event of an alarm:
The siren will sound and all lights connected to lighting modules will flash for five full minutes, or until the system is disarmed.

After five minutes if the alarm has not been disarmed, the system will reset itself; however, lighting module-activated lights will stay on until you turn them off. That means that if you arrive home and lights are on unexpectedly, you'll be alerted to the possibility that an intruder might have been inside your house.

If programmed, the voice dialer will call the telephone number(s) you have designated and deliver a security alert message as well as your pre-recorded message.

Your System can also:
Monitor a specific door by signaling with a chime whenever it is opened and closed.

Turn house lights or appliances on or off at specified times. This helps create a "lived in" look when no one is at home. It also offers the convenience of coming home to a house where lights are already on when you arrive.

Make two phone calls to pre-programmed numbers if the access code is not entered by a pre-determined time. For example, you may monitor whether a child or other family member does not arrive home at an expected time.

·Make two phone calls to pre-programmed telephone numbers if there is a power failure (and control panel is no longer being powered by household electrical circuits).

Call the same two telephone numbers back when power is restored.

The TotalHome® Control System allows you to:

Maintain multiple lists of numbers to be called.

Program a variety of security, day plan, and comfort patterns.

Program additional modules.
